Healthy Hooves Equine @ Higher Manor Farm

Retirement, Part & Full Livery with Purpose & Heart
Nestled on the edge of Weymouth, Healthy Hooves Equine is a peaceful, family-run livery offering retirement, part, and full livery packages in the Dorset countryside. Our approach blends natural horse keeping with emotional wellbeing — not just for horses, but for people too.
At Healthy Hooves Equine, horses live in freedom on a track system designed for gentle movement, social interaction, and emotional balance. They have the choice to roam freely or retreat to a cosy barn with deep bedding, where they can rest comfortably and lie down as they would in a natural herd. We live alongside our own horse and pony who enjoy the same natural, calm lifestyle — because we believe all horses deserve to live this way, especially in their later years.
Introducing Track Systems
🌿 Introducing the Track System at Healthy Hooves Equine @ Higher Manor Farm 🌿
We’re proud to offer a natural, horse-centred way of keeping horses healthy, happy, and moving – inspired by the pioneering work of Amy Dell of Abbots View Livery and developed with her personal guidance.
Our track system is a thoughtfully designed environment that mimics the natural movement patterns of wild horses. Instead of being confined to static paddocks, horses at Higher Manor Farm roam freely along tracks that guide them around our fields and facilities. These tracks are enriched with stimulating features like hay stations, scratching posts, mounds to climb and natural terrain variations to keep horses mentally and physically engaged.
We’ve worked closely with Amy Dell, whose innovative and welfare-led approach has made Abbots View a leading example in the UK. With her expert input, we’ve developed a system that not only encourages movement but also fosters herd dynamics, reduces stress, and supports hoof and metabolic health.
