Healthy Hooves Equine @ Higher Manor Farm

Track-Based Full, Part & Retirement Livery
Nestled on the edge of Weymouth, Healthy Hooves Equine offers track-based full, part & retirement livery in a calm, welfare-led environment.
Our track system is designed to encourage natural movement, social interaction and freedom of choice, making it particularly appealing for good doers, horses requiring managed grazing, retirement horses and owners seeking an alternative to traditional stable-based living.
We believe horses thrive when they can move, forage, socialise and rest naturally. That's why our horses have access to tracks, multiple forage stations and comfortable shelter, allowing them to choose how they spend their day.
Introducing Track Systems
🌿 Introducing the Track System at Healthy Hooves Equine @ Higher Manor Farm 🌿
We’re proud to offer a natural, horse-centred way of keeping horses healthy, happy, and moving – inspired by the pioneering work of Amy Dell of Abbots View Livery and developed with her personal guidance.
Our track system is a thoughtfully designed environment that mimics the natural movement patterns of wild horses. Instead of being confined to static paddocks, horses at Higher Manor Farm roam freely along tracks that guide them around our fields and facilities. These tracks are enriched with stimulating features like hay stations, scratching posts, mounds to climb and natural terrain variations to keep horses mentally and physically engaged.
We’ve worked closely with Amy Dell, whose innovative and welfare-led approach has made Abbots View a leading example in the UK. With her expert input, we’ve developed a system that not only encourages movement but also fosters herd dynamics, reduces stress, and supports hoof and metabolic health.
